We are in
business since 1975. The first store, we opened in the Bronx with basic
merchandise. Our next store was in Brooklyn and in 1980 we moved the business
to Manhattan. We were on the lower East Side for several years where there was
a center at that time for textiles both for suiting, and dress fabrics. As the
industry changed and more imports flooded the market, we moved our business to
Paterson New Jersey so we would have a bigger store which had an affordable rent
and larger customer base. We kept moving and growing and in 1995 we moved to the
present location which has plenty of retail space.
Our present
store has three floors which boasts a diverse selection of imported and domestic
fabrics including elegant beaded bridal laces; imported woolens; suiting;
African prints; Chinese silks; French laces; calico; home decoration fabrics.
I tell my
customers “If I do not have it, we will find it for you” and “If we cannot find
it you do not need it!”
In addition, we
carry 50,000 buttons in stock; Swarovski crystals; beaded trimmings; beaded
appliqués; and all accessories and trimmings to accommodate all your sewing
needs.
We specialize
in:
- theatrical
fabrics such as lycra; metallics; velvets; feathers; sequins; printed and
solid chiffon in both silk and synthetic
- currently
we carry a large collection of vintage patterns
